Sammy needed a safe place to land, and now needs a little more help
Sammy is a friendly 10-year-old Terrier mix who weighs around 20 to 25 pounds. He came to ABC after the person who owned him could no longer care for him, and no one else was in a position to keep looking after him. With no other option, ABC stepped in to make sure Sammy didn’t fall through the cracks.
Once in our care, we found Sammy had a critical heart murmur that needed an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), a full blood panel with tick and Valley Fever testing, and costly heart medications. He’s doing much better now and is settled into a foster home, but he still needs a dental procedure to remove several diseased teeth that are causing him pain. Before he can undergo the dental surgery we have to ensure he is strong enough to safely undergo anesthesia.
We’re raising $3,000 to cover Sammy’s medical care expenses and upcoming dental surgery. ABC has no paid administrative staff, so every dollar donated goes straight to Sammy’s care. Even if you can’t donate, sharing his story helps.
