Tiffany suffered a broken pelvis from a hit & run
Tiny Tiffany was hit by a car and left to die in the middle of the road. A good Samaritan stopped and scooped her up and contacted ABC for help. ABC rushed her to the hospital where she was stabilized and given pain medication. X-rays revealed her pelvis was broken in several places on both sides and would require extensive surgery. Despite her intense pain, Tiffany was very sweet and wagged her tail at all her caregivers.
Tiffany’s medical expenses will be costly, however, she has a fighting chance because Eddie the Yorkie, a past Critical Care rescue, was in a similar situation and made a full recovery! Initially we were attempting to raise $7,000 to help cover her pelvis surgery but unfortunately her post op x-rays also show a break in her tibia, which wasn’t discernible in her initial x-rays and will require a second surgery.
Many thanks to Tiffany Construction and their staff for not only rescuing little Tiffany from the road after being hit, but also for their extremely generous donation towards her medical costs. In case you were wondering why her name is Tiffany, now you know! Also a big thank you to Dr. Brian Petrovsky at Arizona Canine Orthopedics and Sports Medicine for taking great care of her.
Any size contribution will help this sweet girl! As always, your donation is tax-deductible. ABC has no paid administrative staff so all the funds go directly to the animal care. Donations via check can be mailed to Animals Benefit Club, 3111 E St John Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032, please include “Tiffany” in the memo.

ABC rescues animals regardless of their medical condition. Many times an animal needs surgery or extended medical care before he or she is ready for adoption. Our Critical Care Corner will keep you updated on these special needs animals.
