When you adopt a cat from ABC, you help two cats!
Not only do you help the cat joining your family, but also the newly rescued cat in it’s spot. The placement of our animals is a detailed process as we strive to ensure they are a good match with their prospective family. If you’re interested in adopting, please read our adoption process. Listed ages are approximate in most cases.

Andrina | Brown & White Tabby DSH
Female | dob October 20, 2015
Sweet Andrina is VERY friendly and loves to play and snuggle. She really likes to be the star of the show and loves to run and greet every person in the room, then follow everyone around. She can often be spotted snuggling with her sister Arista (adopted). She would love to find a home together with her sister, but would also be okay being an only cat, so she can soak up all the attention. Although Andrina is a petite kitty, she can be a bit bossy. If you are looking for a spunky, highly social kitty, then Andrina may be your BFF!
April | Tabby DSH
Female | dob July 2020
April was abandoned with her three babies, her “Flower Kittens”, Clover, Juniper, and Lavender. She is a sweet and inquisitive gal who is always looking for an opportunity to play. She was practically a baby herself when she had kittens. April is very petite and will most likely stay little, which makes her even more adorable! (Pictured in front cuddling with Juniper.) She loves attention from people and she really loves treats. Now that her kittens are grown, April is ready to find her own forever home and relax in the arms of her human family! She would probably love to be adopted with Juniper so they can play, play, play…then cuddle!
Clover | Tabby DSH
Female | dob March 2021
Clover is part of the “Flower Kittens” litter. She came with mom April and sisters Juniper and Lavender. Clover is very shy and prefers the company of other cats over people, so she would do best in a home with another cat. She is especially fond of her sister, Lavender. We found that Clover really likes treats and can be bribed with them, so in a calm and patient home, we think she would blossom! She also likes to play when we “aren’t watching”.
Coconut | White, Brown, Black DSH
Female | dob May 2015
When Coconut was rescued from the streets, she was dirty, hungry, and as round as, well…a coconut! Soon after she arrived at ABC she gave birth to four kittens, then adopted five more abandoned newborn kittens! Needless to say, she was one busy mama taking care of NINE babies. Now that all the kittens have been adopted, Coconut is ready for her furever home. She likes attention and is playful, but only when she feels like it, and if she doesn’t, she’ll let you know with a warning hiss. We think she’s all “talk” since she hasn’t acted on it. She will co-exist with another cat as long as there’s a lot of space but we think she’d prefer to be an only kitty. As for humans, her ideal home will have only adults or older kids who understand her cat-itude. This quirky girl is sure to make you laugh with her antics! She’s a superhero mama who deserves a home where she can be queen of her castle.
Emi | DSH
Female | dob June 2019
Emi needs an adopter hero, someone who can see her potential! This kitty simply hates other cats, so living in a cat shelter makes it very difficult for her to be on her best behavior. Despite our medical interventions, calming collars, and other accommodations, she continues to be naughty. However, at the vet and in our shelter quarantine area she was very affectionate and had impeccable litter box habits. Emi plays with a lot of enthusiasm – she’ll even do flips for the right toy! She needs daily vigorous playtime to help tame her inner tiger. We recommend a home without young children or any other cats, are you Emi’s hero?
Forrest | Brown Tabby DMH
Male | dob June 2017
Forrest is a shy tabby who was rescued from a feral colony as a kitten during a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) project. Since he was so little, the group doing the TNR asked ABC to take him and help give him a chance to find a home. He lives in our large community of cats and gets along with all the felines. He is very, very shy. He would do best in a home with another cat and a very patient family. He prefers a cozy nook or a high place where he can survey his surroundings.
George | DSH
Male | dob March 2022
George’s last name should be “Baker” because he is ALWAYS making biscuits! You don’t even have to touch him, just make eye contact and he’s purring all the way. He enjoys being pet with every fiber of his being. Most photos of George are extreme close ups because he wants to be close to you! He is still getting used to the shelter environment, he’s been a little frightened of the other cats but has been making progress. He likes to play and loves mealtime and will hold a little conversation with you while his food is being prepared. This awesome guy is friends with everyone he meets!
Juniper | Tabby DSH
Female | dob March 2021
Juniper is part of the “Flower Kittens” litter. She came to us with mom April and sisters Clover and Lavender. Juniper can be a little shy at first but turns into a loving gal when she feels you can be trusted. She loves to nap and play, but rapid movements will send her running. We often find her snuggled up close with her mother. Juniper is close to letting her guard down and with a little love and some treats, we know she will blossom in a calm home. She would love to be in a home with another cat, preferably her mom, April.
Lavender | Tabby DSH
Female | dob March 2021
Little Lavender is part of the “Flower Kittens” litter. She came to us with sisters Clover and Juniper and mom April. Lavender is a gorgeous fawn colored tabby with a leopard spotted belly. This quiet beauty seems to enjoy the company of other cats over people and would benefit from having another cat to play with in her new home. She is especially close to her sister Clover. Lavender really likes treats and can be bribed with them, so in a calm and patient home, we think she would blossom!
Mary | Black DSH
Female | dob August 2018
Mary loves to play and you can often find her napping in a sunny space. We refer to her as our “runway model” as she is graceful, tall and svelte. She can be a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly when you offer her some yummy treats or a toy. She currently resides in our community cat “room” and gets along with the other cats where she is happy to let them be the boss. Mary was found abandoned in a box with her mother Melody and brothers Peter and Paul. This beautiful girl has been overlooked because she likes to hide when new people are around. She would do great in a quiet home.
Melody | Calico DSH
Female | dob February 2017
This beautiful calico mama was abandoned in a box with her three little babies, Peter, Paul (adopted), and Mary, named after the 1960’s popular folk group. She needs extra time to trust new people, but she’s already made huge progress with the staff and volunteers at ABC. She simply can’t refuse our tastiest treats! We use INABA Churu Lickable Creamy Purée cat treats when we want to encourage her to make friends. Melody was a loving and nurturing mother to her babies, but now she’s ready to find a home of her own.
Missy | Calico DSH
Female | dog April 2016
Missy was rescued as a pregnant mama from a TNR (trap, neuter, return) project, along with her cat pal Pebbles, also pregnant! This expecting duo delivered their babies within 24 hours of being at the shelter. All the kittens were quickly adopted which allowed our Animal Caregivers to focus on socializing the mamas. Missy is still uncertain whether or not to fully trust people. She eats out of the Animal Caregivers’ hands and follows them around, but still doesn’t want to be pet. We are confident that she would learn to enjoy human attention if she were in a quiet home setting with consistent interaction. Until then, Missy has been enjoying all the comforts at ABC and lives with a small group of cats, including Pebbles. These ladies don’t have to be adopted together, but they would certainly be happy to have each other’s company!
Nugget | White & Orange Tabby
Male | dob July 2016
Need a little cat therapy? Nugget’s favorite place to be is in someone’s lap! He’d like to be the only cat so he doesn’t have to compete for lap space, but dogs, vacuums, etc. don’t seem to bother him. This sweet boy really is the most extraordinary cat. He was found waiting for food in a feral cat community. He was so friendly and outgoing he walked right up to the caretaker, who then rescued him. Despite the severe, painful inflammation of his mouth and gums, which resulted in the removal of all of his teeth, his sweet personality never wavered, not even when he was given his pain meds! Nugget also had extensive ear infections when he was rescued. He’s all healed, but does require an oral medication 3 times a week. This calm, loving, purring machine has a heart of gold and is instantly everyone’s best friend. If your home and lap is available, he’d be happy to keep you company!
Pebbles | White & Grey DSH
Female | dob April 2016
Pebbles arrived at the shelter very pregnant along with her bestie Missy, who was also pregnant! They both delivered their babies within a day of being rescued. All the kittens were quickly adopted which allowed our Animal Caregivers to focus on socializing the mamas. Pebbles didn’t think people were all that great when she first arrived at the shelter. But over time she learned that yummy treats, soft words and gentle pets are pretty nice! She also enjoys a pampered life with soft beds, good food, and a fully enclosed catio (aka cat patio) where she gets to soak up all the sunshine. Pebbles is very food driven, so even though she tends to be a little shy around new people, she warms up quickly when treats are offered. This sweet kitty enjoys attention! She does not have to be adopted with her pal, Missy, but they certainly would be very happy together.
Peter | Orange Tabby DSH
Male | dob August 2018
Peter is a handsome guy who is looking for a home with a sunny window where he can sunbathe and snooze! Peter was found abandoned in a box with his mother Melody and siblings Mary and Paul. Peter is a little more reserved than his siblings; he waits to see how the others like a new toy before joining in the fun. This little cutie will absolutely blossom in a home where is showered with affection.
Trixie | Diluted Calico DSH
Female | dob April 2017
Trixie was rescued off the street, and upon arrival at the shelter she delivered four beautiful kittens – Chowder, Cobalt, Lorenzo & Pixie – who have all long since been adopted. She was extremely shy when she first arrived but thanks to the socialization efforts of the Animal Caregivers & Volunteers, she is now considered just shy. Missy enjoys living in the cat community room where she can choose to be either inside or “”outside”” in the fully enclosed catio area (cat patio) equipped with lots of high perches and cozy nooks. She will tolerate an adopter if they have a quite home and are patient and calm, bonus if there’s another kitty to keep her company! Until then, Trixie has her choice of soft beds, great meals, and a fully stocked toy bin.
