Critical Care Corner: Gemini

Gemini Rescued After Hit by a Car

UPDATE: This “tri-pawed” had a long recovery time with a wonderful foster family. They spent many sleepless nights by her side as she healed from her injuries, surgeries, and abandonment. We are happy to share that she is a foster “failure” and has officially been adopted by her foster family! Visit our Happy Tails page to see photos of her in her new home.

Gemini was rescued by an ABC volunteer after being hit by a car. We attempted to save her leg through reconstructive surgery, but unfortunately it wasn’t a success and her leg had to be amputated. This sweet Husky girl is still young and we want to give her the best chance at a long and happy life.

We need to raise $4,000 to help cover the costs of Gemini’s surgery and medical care. Any size contribution will make a difference! Make an online, tax-deductible donation today or mail a check to Animals Benefit Club, 3111 E St John Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032. Please include “Gemini” in your donation description. All funds beyond our estimate will go towards future Critical Care animals.

ABC rescues animals regardless of their medical condition. Many times an animal needs surgery or extended medical care before he or she is ready for adoption. Our Critical Care Corner will keep you updated on these special needs animals.
